Adrienne Bernyce graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University of San Antonio, Texas with a B.A. in Speech-Language Pathology/Psychology and the University of St. Thomas with a M.Ed. in both Special Education and Educational Administration. She has worked in the field of Special Education for the past 31 years. Adrienne worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist, Resource Teacher/Team Leader, Self-Contained Adaptive Behavior Teacher, Behavior Interventionist, Behavior Specialist, and Program Specialist for Autism and Behavior Support Services in both Alternative and Public School settings. Adrienne is currently retired and now provides Behavior Consultation Services.
Adrienne specializes in working with children diagnosed with Emotional/Behavioral Disorders, and Other Health Impairments (ADHD, ADD, TBI, etc.). Providing everyday practical behavioral strategies for teachers and equipping students with tools for their toolbox so they can learn how to self-manage their behaviors is extremely important to Adrienne. Her belief is education leads to empowerment and acceptance, so educating parents, the community, and all adults working with students with disabilities is Adrienne’s passion.
